What happens to a request you choose to send.

New York Water Damage Help is an independent consumer guide and request service. We collect requests and phone calls so we can connect you with a local water-damage restoration company. We do not perform the restoration work ourselves.

Calls and call recording

Calls to this site’s tracking number are handled through CallRail and recorded. An automated notice plays before each call is forwarded. CallRail may receive caller ID, call timing and duration, and the call audio. The site operator uses this information to review and handle the request and may later share it with one local restoration company as described below. If you do not want to take part in a recorded call, end the call and use the request form.

Information the request form collects

The form asks for a first name; property ZIP; selected water-damage need; timing; source, affected-area, and safety categories; a preferred first-contact method; the phone number or email needed for that method; and your two permission choices. It does not ask for a street address, photos, payment details, insurance identifiers, or an open-ended description.

After you submit a validated request, the site attempts to add the form details to CallRail Activity for operator review and writes a separately encrypted backup to private Vercel Blob storage. Browser privacy tools may block the CallRail copy. The site receipt confirms the encrypted backup write; it does not mean that a restoration company received the request.

Why we collect it

We store the request so we can send it to a local restoration company. That company may call or email you using the method you chose. This site may be compensated if a restoration company takes the job.

Your two permissions

The form asks for permission to use your details to connect you with a local restoration company, and to share those details with one such company so it can contact you. This site may be compensated for making that connection. Both permissions are required. The form does not request newsletter permission.

Storage, access, and deletion

CallRail Activity is the operator inbox for form requests. The backup copy is encrypted before it is written to private Vercel Blob storage. Access is intended for authorized operators who review, classify, or delete inquiries. Requests expire after 30 days. Expired records are removed by the queue maintenance process. When a request is deleted, its contact and incident details are replaced by a non-personal encrypted marker until the original 30-day expiry so a delayed retry cannot recreate it. A minimal encrypted deletion audit—which contains no name, phone number, email, ZIP, or request details—is retained for up to 90 days.

To request deletion, email the operator for this site with the reference shown on your receipt. Do not include additional sensitive information.

Possible later sharing

We share a request with one local restoration company under the permission you gave. That company controls its own response and its own privacy practices. This site may receive compensation for the connection.

Analytics and operational logs

PostHog receives allowlisted page and form-progress events designed to exclude names, phone numbers, email addresses, ZIP codes, and request details. The capture endpoint does not write request contents to application logs. Vercel hosts the site and encrypted backup; CallRail handles calls and tracked form submissions. These vendors may process network, device, and service information needed to provide and secure their systems.

External resources

Links to New York, New York, federal, utility, weather, and flood resources open websites operated by those organizations. Their own privacy and accessibility policies apply after you leave this site.

Safety and emergencies

If there is immediate danger, leave the area and call 911 or the appropriate utility.
